PRETTY SKIES

I pulled into the church parking lot and saw this beautiful sunrise. I was so glad I remembered my phone so I could capture it. I often forget to carry my phone, I find them a real nuisance, and yet I can't do without it. How pitiful am I? I guess they certainly have their place in our lives.

Are you seeing hints of Spring yet? Our weather has just been fantastic. Today's high is 77*F, a little overcast. I spent some time sitting on my deck just enjoying the light breeze and the birds chirping

I hope you are having a lovely day. Thanks for dropping by.

I am participating in Skywatch Friday.

  1. I am quite sure that I forget my phone more often than I remember it, and even when I leave the house with it I frequently leave it in the car!

    1. I always lament how much I hate phones until I really need one (car breaks down). Then they're the greatest thing since sliced bread!

  2. Beautiful sky photos. We had Sunshine yesterday morning and then it turned dark and by 7:00 p.m. we had a severe thunderstorm. But this morning the sky is clear the sun is shining and it's about 30°. Going to warm up later though. We carry our phones all the time mostly in case we have an emergency. Otherwise we don't really get on them.

    1. Sounds like you're heading to Spring, maybe a little slower than me, but still chugging towards it. Phones are loved in the middle of an emergency! A love/hate relationship.

  3. That's a beautiful sky! It's cloudy here today and supposed to be quite cold this weekend, but better next week. Spring is coming!

  4. Beautiful sunrise! I think our hints of spring are a little different from yours. We had temperatures above freezing by a degree or two, so the snow started to melt. But still 2 feet out back and four feet out front though, so we have a LONG way to go!

    1. I think of spring in the 70's and you think of spring in the 30's, lol. We've had a brisk breeze today that had a touch of coolness to it. Next week we are going backwards to the 40's. Spring is springing back and forth. Thanks for dropping by and commenting. Have a great week.

  7. That is a pretty sky. It has gotten up the 40's around here but it's too soon to think we won't get any more snow. Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

    1. I was glad I was up and out to capture the sky. We will be getting down into the 40's for our high next week. I might cry - I'm already celebrating Spring. Thanks for dropping by and commenting. Come again!

  8. Right place, right time, and you captured some nice layers of colors. Spring where I live? Not yet although 40's are so appreciated. Sunday morning it may drop to near zero.

    1. I love those early morning colors in the sky. We've been really warm for about a week or more, but next week we will have a few lows in the 30's and highs only in the 40's. I am not a happy camper as I am already in my Spring mode.

  9. My phone can't go online so it's not a big deal if I leave it behind or shut it off for the weekend. That said, I love being able to text my inner circle and send photos to them when the phone is on.

Spring birdies have been out here. I LOOOVE hearing them in the mornings. And evening. Happy Weekend

    1. The phone certainly does have it's good points. The camera being one of them. I do like the simplicity of the camera.
