Yes, Christmastime rolls on. This has got to be the shortest time I've ever seen between Thanksgiving and Christmas . I need my mind to work quicker, but I think it's already in hibernation! I'm getting really bad about leaving the house to shop. As long as I can find things online I'll be able to stay inside and enjoy all the holiday cheer that surrounds me.
Daughter and I are having a nice fire tonight. She is really getting good at building fires! I collect the kindling and she builds the fire. We have our jobs, can't do one without the other (isn't there a song that says that?).
This is the Tinman from The Wizard of Oz that my mother made. Of the 4, this is my favorite. I think he is so cute. I remember her struggling to find something silver to make his costume and suddenly remembering tin foil. Duh.
Here is the Cowardly Lion. I think he is cute too. I like the way he's holding his tail. I remember him doing that in the movie. She did a great job on the mane, I think. Which do you like better?
In other news, this is Mika. He has decided that his favorite place to lay down is on the back of my chair. I try to sit down gingerly when he is resting there but today I forgot he was there and sat down a little hard (the chair is a rocker}and catapulted the cat into the air. Oops.
I made this lap quilt for my niece and forgot to include it in the post about all the quilts I've made since The New Me. It's out being quilted now. I hope to get it back before Christmas.
That's it for today. I hope you've had a nice day and evening. Thank you so much for stopping by!
