HAPPY FRIDAY

Beautiful weekend ahead.  Blue skies, pleasant temperatures, smiley faces all around! I hope to plant some tulips. I still don't have them all purchased, next payday I'll buy more.  The squirrels are so busy preparing for  winter, I thought I would  help them out. I bought some plain raw peanuts and put them out and about. I don't think they've found them yet, or maybe they have better things to gather for now.

The little arrangement above, with the green berries, was inspired by this pretty little pot (click here) at Bloomsterverkstad. I LOVE her interesting and fun projects. I like her berries better, but I found the berries of my Red Tip (Photinia) shrubs work well.

I hope you are having a wonderful Friday. Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. Very pretty, Leslie! I love plants that can carry us through until it gets really cold. I was gong to pick up some bulbs the other day, my tulips didn't do well last spring I think because of the warmer winter we had. I just don't know if they died or what. I like to add to them every year.

Happy Friday to you! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  2. Hi Leslie, great little pot. I like that you added some hydrangeas too. I recently cut some hydrangeas blooms to dry, I haven't done that before so I am hoping they turn out ok. Hope to use them for Christmas. Also I am following you.

  3. Such pretty pictures. Hydrangeas are a favorite of mine, and yours look so pretty. I forget to use berries in arrangements. Thanks for the inspiration. I'm going to go home and cut some berries. laurie

  4. Beautiful! I had a large gorgeous photina in my backyard that a utility company cut down. I miss that tree!

    1. They grow pretty fast! I would go buy another one and get it started! Shame on the utility company!

  5. Your pots are gorgeous - love the use of berries! I hope the squirrels take your peanuts and leave your tulips bulbs alone!

I haven't collected the berries I could use for arrangements .. this garden year has been a disaster .. 1. Joy, I still have to plant my tulips, too! It's just still a little warm here. I'm hoping for tomorrow, though. I never really looked at those berries for decoration before, but I'm so glad I saw their potential now! You and me both, we're going to be pretty busy soon!
