GENIUS

This is my favorite sculpture. It's called The Veiled Virgin by Giovanni Strazza. He was an Italian sculpture in the 1800's.  I am just amazed how he made this piece of rock look like a veil. Some people are geniuses. I like sculpture in general, but this one really touches my heart.

We're in the big count down now. Not much time left to get those last minute presents and treats. I'm going tomorrow morning to try and finish up. I'm not looking forward to it! I've done all my shopping online this year. But I need stocking stuffers and candy.

I'm so glad you stopped by. I hope you have a great week!

  2. A beautiful sculpture, one of my favorites as well.
I am done buying gifts. Everything is packed and ready. M
Not wrapped but in gifts bags, so much easier! The grands who live far away all have their packages, and some have already opened them!

  3. This sculpture is truly amazing! That he made something so sheer and fragile from stone. The veil over the face is awesome!

  11. I tried sculpting with marble in high school. It was very hard, so I appreciate any artist who can accomplished these. Janice
