Have you ever hear of a Wobbegong shark? When I first heard of it, I thought it was a joke. I looked it up on Wikipedia and found it is a type of shark. But don't they look funny, with their carpet look and little whiskers.
From Wikipedia:
Wobbegong is the common name given to the 12 species of carpet sharks in the family Orectolobidae. They are found in shallow temperate and tropical waters of the western Pacific Ocean and eastern Indian Ocean, chiefly around Australia and Indonesia, although one species (the Japanese wobbegong, Orectolobus japonicus) occurs as far north as Japan. The word wobbegong is believed to come from an Australian Aboriginal language, meaning "shaggy beard", referring to the growths around the mouth of the shark of the western Pacific
For some reason, this picture of the shark reminds me of a piece of handwork I am doing. I guess it's the color and texture. This is a work in progress.
I hope you're having a great day. Keep warm. Thanks for stopping by.
Never heard of these ocean creatures. God has so funny ideas on looks, lol. What an involved piece of art you are making. Sunny here today but the temps are to be near zero at night for a few.
