Geese can be a pain in the neck, but I love seeing them take flight in a group. Cool beans!

    1. Yes, the Nandina's are spectacular this time of year. Paired with magnolia leaves is really pretty!

  3. Love the blue of those photos. It really captures the misty morning. Not sure why geese are a pain. I love pour wintering wild geese, all 50,000 of them.

    1. They excrete all over the sidewalk, and then our school children walk in it and transfer it into the school (I work at an elementary school), lol.

  9. You know, the reason why geese are troublesome from an anthropomorphic perspective is that we have disrupted their migratory instincts. It's our fault, not theirs, that they hang around in such numbers, and poop is the price you pay.

    1. I hadn't thought about that! Poor things! I will gladly put up with a little poop on the floor (plus I'm not the one cleaning it up, lol). I do love watching them.

  11. These shots are great, Leslie...I do love seeing them in formation as well. I wonder if there's ever one that doesn't want to co-operate???? LOL!..:)JP

    1. Today I saw a huge flock of birds taking off together from a tall tree and then one little one all by itself. Maybe it was being non-cooperative, "But I don't want to go to grandmas, I want to play with my Christmas toys." lol
