Hello! I hope you've recupperated from all the merriment yesterday. We had a lovely day, though we were really missing Don. It hit me hard when I onlly set out 3 places for dinner.
We woke to some fog this morning. I was a little late getting a picture so it's pretty light. But I love the look of fog in our woods.
The house is a wreck. Hopefully I'll get it back to good today. I'm really looking forward to the new year. Not much good came our of 2025.
Do you have big plans for New Years Eve? Any parties to attend? I hope this week brings you rest and peace. Thanks for stopping by.

It looked to be a great gift idea for your son!
ReplyDeleteit was! He really loved it.
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas looked lovely. I got a Lego kit from our 7 year old. Guess who has done the heavy lifting on it so far!
ReplyDeleteYour 7 yr old gave you a lego kit??? Too funny. Happy New Year!
DeleteLooks like he's having a great time. Leaving one table setting out does sound hard. Wishing you a good and solid 2026 ❤️
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm hoping 2026 will be better. Happy New Year.
Delete❤️

ReplyDeleteThat's a neat idea to have everyone do a lego kit on Christmas Eve. I'm going to remember this next Christmas. Hoping for a better year in 2026.
DeleteGlad you enjoyed Christmas. I've been wondering about setting some goals for 2026; I gave up NY resolutions years ago!
ReplyDeleteI quit making resolutions a long time ago. I could never keep them. Looking forward to the new year, hope you are too.
DeleteMy place is a wreck too. lol I hope you had a nice Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI had a lovely Christmas. Looking forward to the new year.
DeleteThat is a lovely photo of the fog in your woods.
ReplyDeleteThere is a lego store at our mall. The things made of them are amazing.
There is a pirate with a parrot on his forearm AMAZING
We were visiting with a daughter, son law and 3 grandkittes before Christmas. We had a quite Christmas here as will we on NYE and NYD.
No parties here
Hugs cecilia
I would love to go to a Lego store. That must have been awesome! We have no plans for new years eve or day. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteFog does make for interesting pictures. I have no plans for New Years Eve apart from trying to stay up to midnight. I could use a Lego set-I'm trying hard not to buy one of the Lego botanical kits.
ReplyDeleteI don't have any new years plans either - except staying awake like you. I'm not looking forward to it!
DeleteOur granddaughter loves Legos too. Your trees in the fog shot is truly beautiful! It looks like a Fairy Wood.
ReplyDeleteThat forest used to be so much prettier. About 15 years ago they came through and took down every tree, some of the 100 years old. It was an old forest with huge trees. Hope you have a happy new year, Ginny.
DeleteThat Lego is pretty amazing. It sounds like a nice day at your house.
ReplyDeleteWe had a lovely day, I hope you did too. Have a happy New Year!
DeleteThe forest looks lovely. He has done a wonderful job with the Lego!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a super time to kick out the old year and welcome a fresh new one!
I like the idea of "Kicking out the old year"! I'm looking forward to 2026.
DeleteHello, Leslie
ReplyDeleteThe Lego gift look like a hit! I love the forest fog scene.
We celebrated at son's house on Christmas Eve, so our Christmas day was a quiet one. I wish you all the best in 2026, a Happy and Healthy New Year!
Take care, enjoy this last weekend of 2025.
Yes, the Lego kit was a huge hit! Hope your New Year is fun.
DeleteMy son use to love Legos. We had horrible freezing rain yesterday and it even thundered during it for a bit. Crazy hearing it amid the freezing rain. Snow overnight. Just wish we would have had the snow for Christmas. Oh well. New Years Eve will be spent at home with lobster tails we got on sale at our meat market and a few appetizers. Looking forward to it. Janice
ReplyDeleteOoh! Freezing rain is not good! I'm glad it turned to snow. Guess you'll have a white New Years. Your New Years eve sounds delicious!
DeleteSuch a beautiful photograph, the forest looks so inviting.
ReplyDeleteIsn't Lego great.
I spent a very enjoyable Christmas with family and now look forward to the New Year.
Sending good wishes.
All the best Jan
Lego's are still enjoyed, my son is 39! Said it was the best Christmas he's ever had, lol. Thanks for dropping by. Have a great New years.
DeleteHolidays really are hard when you’re missing those that you love. Those first holidays after a loss can be brutal. My mother did Christmas brunch for my entire life. That first Christmas without her brunch was excruciating. I hope you had a lovely holiday and wish you the best for the new year.
ReplyDeleteWe did miss Don a lot. But we still managed a good Christmas. I hope yours was nice, too. Happy New Year.
DeleteMy daughter's best friend loves these Lego sets and you know I didn't even know that Lego sets like this existed until I went looking for some.
ReplyDeleteIt's now girls that like Legos! Back in the day they only had sets for boys.
DeleteI have never attempted one of these new Lego sets, but I can understand that they can be a challenge. When my daughter was little we played with Lego for hours, but we didn’t have these kits that are so popular today. All the very best for 2026, Leslie. I hope that the year is filled with great joy and good health.
ReplyDeleteThank you David. We don't have any plans for the New Year, just hanging around home together. I hope you have a happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteWe don't really do much for NYE. Your Christmas sounds perfect, the lego set is a hoot!
ReplyDeleteWe don't do anything for New Years either. I'm usually in bed by 10.
