Last night was Bible study night. A nice couple picks me up so I don't have to drive in the dark. This was the first time they picked me up in the Volkswagen. Getting me out of the backseat turned into a huge comedy of errors. I could only get one leg out. Charlotte tried to help me but all she did was pull me intoi the floor. We tried and tried and laughed so hard our sides were hurting. Finally her husband came around and he was able to pull me up and out. Needles to say, I got a ride home with someone else in a nice, great big SUV. Darlene to the rescue!
I hope you're having a great week. It's cold here and we have a nice fire going.

Beautiful skies!
ReplyDeleteI can empathize with you getting out of that VW! It's good to be able to laugh at ourselves, right?
I'll never get in the backseat of another one!
DeleteOh my! I had trouble getting out of a sedan for quite awhile now. We had to buy an SUV. It is amazing to me how much trouble it is to just find a place to sit now that I am old!
ReplyDeleteThe older I get, the harder it is to get in and out of my car!
DeleteWho knew that riding in a VW could be such an adventure? I am assuming that you are speaking of a Beetle. I have driven VWs for over twenty years and passengers have had no trouble getting in and out of my Jetta, Tiguan or Golf!
ReplyDeleteI think it was a beetle. Cute car though!
DeleteBeautiful photos, and funny ride to church services.
ReplyDeleteThank you! It was so funny. We had a chuckle about it.
DeleteNothing like seeing a sunrise and the start of a new day.
ReplyDeleteI see it most every day!
I'm glad I get to see the sunrise occasionally. Take care.
DeleteOh dear, you made me laugh, Leslie! What a dilemma!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunrise. And no snow!
I had the awful thought that they were going to have to call the fire department to get me out!
DeleteSuch beautiful skies.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
They were so pretty! Take care!
DeleteOh dear! What a puzzle? How did you manage to get in so easily but not out?
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't easy! But I managed!
DeleteI'm glad you got out of the car but at least you have a grand sense of humour about it!
ReplyDeleteOnly thing to do is laugh at yourself! Take care and have a great weekend.
DeleteOh my! That doesn't sound like fun, but I love that you laughed your way through it!
ReplyDeleteIt was funny, but not fun. I was afraid we would have to call the fire department!!
DeleteHave a great week yourself after that adventure!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Have a great weekend.
DeleteGorgeous pink skies, I love that. Your VW story made me laugh, glad you got out ok!
ReplyDeleteMade me laugh too! So glad I finally got out. Thought we might have to call the fire department, lol.
DeleteWhat a lovely sunrise and you even captured to fog
ReplyDeleteIn the 1960's I rode in a VW beetle from our coast (with my uncle) back to our home 150 miles. YIKES I felt like I was in the Flintstones car
Hugs Cecilia
The Volkswagen was so low to the ground its like you were sitting on it.
Deletelooking up...it never disappoints!! i had a great week, despite the weather. pretty pictures!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a great week. I hope your weekend will be good too.
DeleteThe last photo is my favourite!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I hope you have a great weekend.
DeleteLovely sky. The roads are slowly surrendering to SUVs.
ReplyDeleteThey were super pretty that morning. Im all for Suv's.
DeleteSounds like you had a good belly laugh!
ReplyDeleteEarly mornings are magical.
Definitely a belly laugh! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat sounded like a fun evening to a great trip out. Skies were beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt was a fun evening. Lots of laughter.
DeleteYour sunrise story is so sweet. I can almost see those pink and purple skies! That backseat adventure had me laughing, sounds like quite the workout just to get out of a car.
ReplyDeleteHello Leslie,
ReplyDeleteLovely sky captures. There are times I feel like I am having to get off the ground getting out of my Toyota Corolla. Take care, have a wonderful week.
