Every year after Christmas I start thinking about Spring. This year it's already begun because i noticed daffodils starting to emerge. How exciting is that?! I can't wait to see their sunny faces. Our weather has been so mild I'm thinking we'll have an early Spring. Last year I picked all of my daffodils to make a little arrangement. I failed to plant more like I planned to do. Here are some pictures from last year.
I love this little girl vase. I have a bigger one too. She looks so pretty with her crowning glory.
This Sedum worked well for her hair, I thought. I hope she'll be as pretty this year. I may have to replace the sedum.
This is another of my little vases that I think is so adorable. I love this parrot.
I used to look forward to Spring because of my garden, but as I've gotten older I can no longer tend to it so my gardens have reverted to the wilds. Pots are now my obsession. I'm looking forward to filling a few pots this summer.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you are having a good week.
daffodil is one of the beautiful flowers...
ReplyDeletewe used to have this flower and appear every Spring....but disappear since last spring....
Happy New Year.
That's terrible! You'll have to plant more. I wonder what happened to them.
DeleteIt's always a delight to see flowers in the winter. These are great reminder that Spring will spring up one day in the future.
ReplyDeleteJust a little Spring preview! Have a great week!
DeleteAll the vases are just so cute and purrfect for the flowers.
ReplyDeleteOMCs OMCs I just noticed this morning I have daffodils pushing their way up thru the ground. They are at about 2=3" high. This area they are in normally blooms in February so they are very early.
Hugs Cecilia
Yes! Mine are up a couple of inches. I bet they bloom in late January. I guess it's according to how much warm weather we have.
DeleteI remember your cute little vases from last year! Daffodils are so full of cheer. I'm ready for Spring too, but I'm afraid it's going to be a while before we see them here in Michigan. :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to fill them with flowers again this year!
ReplyDeleteBoy, I`d enjoy some thoughts of spring in the face of our snow!
ReplyDeleteseeing your daffodils today reminded me of how much i love this flower. the hubs planted 400 bulbs this past fall, a mix of tulips and daffodils. i always look forward to seeing them pop there little top out of the ground come spring. i have a few indoor plants but my pots are not nearly as adorable as yours. i like winter...the hibernating and all, i love when it snows and i really enjoy being at home!!
ReplyDeleteNot ready for spring here yet. I'm still enjoying the snow. :)
ReplyDeleteThe daffodils are pretty but won't be seeing any around here for months!
I think mine will be blooming the end of January. I'm still enjoying winter, but I do start thinking of spring flowers.
DeleteDaffodils coming up already?! Gosh, where do you live anyway? I know it has been a rather warm winter, but still...The daffodil bouquet is a beautiful combination. I am unable to garden too. I absolutely love the vases, especially the parrot! Did you get it on Amazon? If so, I will order one!
ReplyDeleteHey Ginny. Im in Georgia and we've mixed temperatures. It's been unseasonably warm lately, but I think colder weather is headed our way. The parrot vase belonged to my grandmother. I found the little girl at a flea market. Have a great week.
DeleteBeautiful flowers in your pictures.
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy Spring ...
All the best Jan
Thank you! I'm looking forward to this year's blooms.
DeleteOh my goodness, those yellow flowers are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Hope to have some soon!
DeleteLoved all these Leslie, thanks so much for sharing them. Very pretty planters too!
ReplyDeleteYour vases are almost as appealing as the flowers, very pleasing and quirky.
ReplyDeleteYou do collect some cute pots. I have a list of what I want to do along the driveway. It will mean dividing some plants to put in this new space and encouraging perennials I had planted there already. I purchased seeds at the grocery store yesterday too but much too early to start them.
ReplyDeleteI don't think anything is cheerier than daffodils! Well, most yellow flowers are pretty cheery. The parrot vase is adorable :)
