Geese can be a pain in the neck, but I love seeing them take flight in a group. Cool beans!
A blog about my gardening life. I love my garden and spend hours planning and dreaming. Unfortunately, the vision in my head is hampered by the ability of my hands!

Delete..."Geese can be a pain in the neck, but I love seeing them take flight in a group. Cool beans!" What an understatement! Those red Nadina berries sure shout out a Southern Christmas, I love all the greens y'all have to work with. A Merry Christmas to you!
ReplyDeleteYes, the Nandina's are spectacular this time of year. Paired with magnolia leaves is really pretty!
DeleteLove the blue of those photos. It really captures the misty morning. Not sure why geese are a pain. I love pour wintering wild geese, all 50,000 of them.
ReplyDeleteThey excrete all over the sidewalk, and then our school children walk in it and transfer it into the school (I work at an elementary school), lol.
DeleteLovely magical nature photos ~
ReplyDeleteWishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy Healthy New Year,

ReplyDeletei could not agree more....and up close, they are not so bad either!!!
ReplyDeletemerry christmas to you, have a wonderful holiday!!!
True! Up close you get to see their pretty coloring.
DeleteSuch pretty photos - they are indeed impressive flying all at once.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Have a wonderful New Year.
DeleteYou know, the reason why geese are troublesome from an anthropomorphic perspective is that we have disrupted their migratory instincts. It's our fault, not theirs, that they hang around in such numbers, and poop is the price you pay.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't thought about that! Poor things! I will gladly put up with a little poop on the floor (plus I'm not the one cleaning it up, lol). I do love watching them.
DeleteNice pics of the geese. It is impressive to see them take off. Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Judy! Have a great New Year!
DeleteThese shots are great, Leslie...I do love seeing them in formation as well. I wonder if there's ever one that doesn't want to co-operate???? LOL!..:)JP
ReplyDeleteToday I saw a huge flock of birds taking off together from a tall tree and then one little one all by itself. Maybe it was being non-cooperative, "But I don't want to go to grandmas, I want to play with my Christmas toys." lol
