Hellooooo! How are you? We are having Spring like temperatures. It's really been lovely. The kids are on Winter Break and I've been fortunate to have my grandchild spend a few nights. She even had a friend over to spend the night 2 nights. It was fun listening to them laugh. They carved soap into terrific little pieces of art.

I've decided I need a new hobby, so I've taken up oil painting. I've been at it for about 3 weeks and don't see a whole lot of progress. There is some but sometimes I feel like I'm going backwards. I think it's because I'm just starting to really see things. This painting needs windows added to the barn.

The picture had a fence, and I tried but had it falling off the painting so I took it out. I'm not sure if I'll trly to put it back on.

I hope your days arefilled with fun and adventure. Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Great idea to craft something. Especially on bad weather days. Too many up here. Snow just melted two days ago and they say we will have more on Sunday. I crochet and read. Love the soaps, the girls did great.

  7. That soap carving is really lovely. I'm glad you have taken up painting. Is this your first go at it? If so, you are doing really well. I'm trying to envision the fence. The one thing nice about acrylic or oil is if you don't like it, it's easy enough to paint over!

    1. Yes, this is my first go round with painting. I look forward to getting better. The fence was falling off the painting, lol.

  8. *oops, sorry if duplicate. Blogger is being crazy on my end.
The giggling soap carvers sound like charming guests :). I have zero talent with painting, I think yours looks nice!

    1. They were charming guests! I'm going through a bad period right now with my painting. Nothing is turning out. I'm trying not to get too discouraged.

    1. Thank you! Though I've hit a bad spot with the painting. I hope it doesn't last too long.
