Yep, Santa Claus is coming to town. I know we all remember the excitement of thinking about Santa being on his way to our homes. Looking out the window, hoping to see 8 tiny reindeer. It's hard to believe we ever fell asleep.
Now that I'm older I still get excited over Christmas and Santa Claus. It's such fun to see the excitement in my grandchildren. The last week of school before Christmas break was always lots of fun, too. I think teachers pretty much give up trying to cover anything important this week.
I've got to get out there and finish up my shopping. I've not got much to do and should be able to complete my shopping in one trip.
Our temperatures are nice and mild now. Reaching almost 70 degrees this weekend. I like the cold weather, though. I enjoy having those fires. I don't think we'll have any cold weather until after Christmas.
I'm finishing up today with a photo of the drive up my street. I think it's such a pretty street.
It's super pretty in the snow. Here is a photo from last year. A rare event around here.
I hope you're enjoying your Christmas season. Thanks for stopping by.

70 degrees! Wow.
ReplyDeleteI know, warmer than Spring!
DeleteMerry Christmas! Your street is beautiful, with or without snow. Enjoy the warmth :)
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you too. I hope you have a great weekend.
DeleteYour street is beautiful, with and without snow.
ReplyDeleteWe're getting lots of snow here - it's been coming down all day!
Lucky you! I really want some snow. Maybe in January we'll get some.
ReplyDeleteYou live on a gorgeous street. Strange how warm it is there. But last night it was about 50 here.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ginny. I love my street. It's beautiful in the summer too.
DeleteI guess we are all feeling the pressure about now! But Christmas will come, ready or not!
ReplyDeleteYou're right, ready or not, it's coming!
DeleteBeautiful captures of the Christmas ambiance!
ReplyDeleteThank youi!
DeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI enjoy seeing the kiddies with the Santa and are looing forward to their presents. The view of the trees and road look pretty green and with the snow. I would not mind temperatures in the 70's. It is in the low 30's here.
Take care, have a great day and a happy weekend.
That's cold, Eileen! I'm enjoying the warmer weather, but I do like the cold.
ReplyDeletei'm with you 100%...i never told my kids there was no santa, they are 42 and 43!! i still talk about him as if he is real!! what a beautiful coating of snow!!
ReplyDeleteI still sign all the gifts "From Santa"!
DeleteAfter I lost my parents and my husband, I really struggled to enjoy Christmas because my mother hosted Christmas brunch every year of my entire life, and I really felt adrift after I lost her. The past couple of years though I’ve really gone all out in order to make it special, not just for myself, but for my children and grandchildren as well. It’s going to be around 73° here on Christmas Day, and I am not pleased. It would appear we got our snow in November. I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about missing your mom and dad and husband. Christmas is when I miss them the most. But I've found getting together with friends helps me keep the spirit alive. I would like to host something, but I'm just not ready for that. I hope you have a merry Christmas.
DeleteThe snow picture is pretty
ReplyDeleteThank you, I hope we get some this year!
DeleteThat is very pretty and reminds me of one of the roads near where I live.
ReplyDeleteTeachers heave a sigh of relief at the end of the Christmas term!
Thank you! I heard a big sigh of relief when that school bell rang, lol.
DeleteYour tree looks beautiful. I hope you enjoy the holidays.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I hope you have a merry Christmas!
DeleteMerry Christmas to you. The snow looks lovely. Thank you for your visit, I am very sorry for the loss of your cat.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, thanks for dropping by and commenting.
ReplyDeleteHope the last of the shopping got finished with a sigh of relief. That you did not have to go to every store in the county to find that one special thing, lol.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas.
Still got to get out there tomorrow morning to finish up the shopping. If I get out early enough I should be ok.
DeleteI think the drive up your street does look pretty.
ReplyDeleteBlessings this Sunday.
All the best Jan
Thank you!
DeleteThat is a lovely street and was cool to see the before and after. When I was a kid, I could swear I heard the deer on the roof. I still remember that night.
ReplyDeleteHa, ha, I said I saw Santa and his reindeer flying away in front of the moon.
DeleteYour street look so nice with all the trees. We don't get snow here where I live. We are expecting rain for Christmas which is fine with me! I used to garden when I was younger, but achy joints keep me from that. But I do like to craft and Bible journal. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI gave up gardening a few years ago too. I really miss it. I've decided to try to at least have some pretty pots around. I'm learning to crochet. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Have a Merry Christmas.
DeleteSo glad you found my blog and enjoyed it. Love your snow pic, however sometimes living here in Michigan we do get tired of the white stuff. Plus it looks like we will have no snow for Christmas which always bums me out. Janice
ReplyDeleteSince we only get snow once in a blue moon, it's pretty exciting around here when we do get some. Usually no more than 2 inches. I'm sorry you won't have a white Christmas. That would be so cool. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
DeleteLove that Santa! The snow sure looks pretty and I'm glad it's there and not here. Merry Christmas from all of us!
ReplyDeleteI love the vintage Santas. I hope you have a merry Christmas. Take care.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a lovely Christmas too.
ReplyDeleteMy grandson is 12 and is really excited for Christmas as well.
I have a 12 year old granddaughter who is excited too.
