Spring in Georgia

Hello! How are you?  I hope you are enjoying some spring weather. In Georgia we are having a little bit of everything...warm, cool, dry, wet, clouds and sun.  Pretty nice.  If you don't like the weather, it will shortly change.  Today when I got home from work and took a stroll around the garden I found a lot of loveliness. The Viburnum is looking very pretty this year. I love it's snowy white blooms.

The iris, columbine and clematis are starting to bloom and look very pretty this year.

I'm looking forward to going to the plant store soon. I went this past Saturday just to look and found several plants that I would not be able to find elsewhere. I'm really getting a late start this year. The cold weather seemed to hang on and I didn't get myself in gear, so now I'm playing catch up!

I hope you are having a wonderful Tuesday, thanks for stopping by.

  4. Leslie girl you have such gorgeous flowers in bloom here !
I am sorry about the heuchera but I think you are right .. some parts of our gardens just don't accommodate certain plants and yet are fine for others .. I wonder if you have access to "Redstone Falls" heucherella (http://www.terranovanurseries.com/growers/heucherellaredstonefalls-p-309.html)
It is a very hardy one and bred as a ground cover so it expands nicely ! .. plus if you search for hardy heuchera on the net it should help to choose the right ones.
But your garden is looking so pretty right now as it is : )
Yes .. this winter held on all over .. I know once things start warming up and good Spring rain falls .. my garden will fill in.
Today we hope to get that nasty stump out though and get my other beauty in .. fingers crossed !
Keep me posted on your plants girl ! I am always interested to see how you get along!!

  5. Good Afternoon Leslie, It is so lovely to see such colour in a garden. I love Viburnum, I have a Viburnum in my garden called Pom Pom. Your irises are beautiful as are your clematis. My clematis is just shooting as the Spring weather has been atrocious...so very cold.
